Information on the Tribal Council, Tribal Positions and Constitution

At this time the Tribal Council is selected by appointment by the Executive Tribal Manager and Vice Executive Tribal Manager until further notice, at the time that all seats have been filled ALL Tribal Councilpersons will serve a 3 year term starting from the ratification date of a proper constitution. At the time that a proper constitution is ratified by the population of the Tribe ALL positions will be selected via elections. At that time the corporate registration will be changed from "managed by managers" to "managed by members" thus the PEOPLE will truly control every aspect of the Tribe, as it should be.

At this time we have NO plans to regulate the tribe via a Clan System. The regulation of the Tribe will be conducted as a group to avoid the possibility of certain Clans becoming more powerful than other Clans. This is a very common problem with trying to maintain a so-called traditional system. The traditional system that so many tribes attempt to emulate may or may not be rooted in historical fact. The Ridgetop Shawnee Tribe of Indians have no desire to follow, to the letter, any fashionable, or misguided, tradition simply because that's what everyone else does. We are not followers we are leaders. We also will in no way, shape form or fashion, have, what is called, "Chiefs". The system of Chiefs are a White man invention and totally nontraditional. The duties of the Executive Tribal Manager and Vice Executive Tribal Manager along with the 3rd Tribal Council, at this time, is to "prepare" the Tribe for an eventual population takeover, not to preserve "our" personal positions of rank within the Tribe.

At the time of ratification of a proper constitution a true Elders Council will be formed, NOT BEFORE. The intention of the Elders Council will be rooted in tradition. All religious aspects of the Tribe will be defined in the Constitution and will represent Christian moral values. These Christian values and order of religious doctrine cannot and will not be altered by an Elders Council.

The Managers of the Tribe, at this time, will form into a Constitutional Committee in late 2022 and or early 2023 to prepare a proper constitution. A vote for ratification will commence sometime in 2023 and ALL Tribal Members will have an equal vote and the vote can be made via; web-form, email, in person, by letter and or by phone to ensure everyone has an opportunity to vote.  The ratification of the constitution must achieve a 3/4 majority vote from the population of the Tribe. If that is not achieved the Constitutional Council will keep working and will request suggestions from member committees. Any and all members of the Tribe can form, at any time, what is called "member committees" with no oversight from Tribal management. The purpose of a members committee is to provide organized suggestions to the Constitutional Committee. We welcome suggestions and will not ignore your submissions. All we ask is; when the Constitutional Committee is formed and we begin to discuss the formation a proper constitution, that suggestions are submitted in an orderly fashion. We will not tolerate fighting.

Statement from the Executive Tribal Manager on the Constitutional Committee

NOTICE: As we noted before; ALL Tribal management positions will be filled via elections after their initial terms, as dictated by the constitution, have expired. There will be NO exceptions. During this transitional phase of the Tribe the Executive Tribal Manager and Vice-Executive Tribal Manager reserve the right to appoint and dismiss members of the Tribal Council. We the Executive Tribal Manager and Vice-Executive Tribal Manager (William Shackleford and Jeffery R. Morgan-Attorney at Law) are solely dedicated to a population takeover of the Ridgetop Shawnee Tribe of Indians sometime in the near future, as always. And will in no way tolerate any "fixing" of a constitution that "preserves" a position of rank; being Tribal Council Member, Tribal Treasurer, Executive Tribal Manager, Vice-Executive Tribal Manager and or any other position we deem electable. We will immediately dismiss a member who attempts to include language in the constitution that preserves his or her Tribal Management position. We feel it to be absolutely necessary that we declare these powers at this time to ensure that a true democratic process exists in our ratified constitution. We cannot stress this point enough. If anyone is interested in filling the vacant Tribal Council positions please take note of the statement above. If you are interested in become a lifetime Tribal Council member don't bother contacting us for an appointment.
